Helpful information about your deposit, rent and how it all works.
Rent can be paid via your secure online account, the online portal can be accessed using this link, once logged into your portal please click ‘Pay Now’ and complete the steps.
When you accept your room offer, you’ll be given two options:
- To pay your rent in full
- To pay your rent in instalments spread throughout the year (If you have a valid UK Guarantor)
You can choose whichever is most convenient for you.
If you can opt to pay your rent in three instalments, these payments are due in September, January and April.
If you don’t have a valid UK Guarantor, you will be required to pay in full. Please note you must have paid the rent due by the time you arrive to check in.
All utility bills such as gas, electricity and water as well as internet are included in your rent. Your TV licence is not included in your rent and you are responsible for obtaining one in order to watch live TV.
All rent that is due must have been paid before you can check-in. If you are having difficulties or this will be a problem, please contact the property team as early as possible who will assist you.

You will be required to provide evidence of your student loan schedule to the property team for a payment plan to be set up.
You will be required to pay four weeks rent 14 days prior to your contract start date, which will be deducted from the balance of your first instalment on the agreed date. Please be aware that you cannot collect keys to move in without this minimum payment being made.
Please note your rent payment plan must be pre-arranged and agreed with the property manager prior to your move-in date. If no arrangement has been made, rent is due as per your tenancy agreement.
If your property charges a deposit, it will be clear on the booking form and is £250. We use the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS), where it will be held safely for the duration of your tenancy and will be returned to you at the end of your contract, provided you have returned the flat in the condition you received it in, and your rent is up to date. Where any charges are incurred at the end of your tenancy, they will be emailed to you and deducted from the deposit. Where no deposit is in place an invoice will be issued to you to be paid within 30 days.
If you have paid a deposit, it will be returned to you within 30 days of your tenancy agreement ending. The amount returned to you will depend on any outstanding charges and any damage found in your room or the communal areas of your apartment.
All deposits are secured with a deposit protection scheme, we use Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS). TDS will contact you on your registered email address and ask you to authorise the refund and submit your bank details to them.
